Old Navy Black Friday Events

Starting noon on Thanksgiving Day, almost 700 Old Navy stores will be holding it's Gobblepalooza event. This 3 day event will last from noon - 7pm on Thanksgiving day, 3am - midnight on Black Friday and Saturday (regular hours).

Gobblepalooza is supposed to help shoppers get into the Holiday spirit and kickstart their Holiday shopping. Each participating Old Navy will have great deals and many in-store festivities.

The first customers in line will receive a free rock band guitar (I'm not sure if this is just the guitar or if it includes the game!) I guess they will have the video game Rock Band 2 on sale too because the press release says that anyone who purchases the Rock Band 2 game will receive a free Rock Band guitar while supplies last. Another promotion they will be running on Friday is that customers spending over $20 will receive a free Lego Rock Band game while supplies last.

Victoria's Secret PINK is Coming to Canada!!

Finally, after much anticipation, Victoria's Secret PINK is launching in Canada! There will be 4 locations in Ontario - Square One in Mississauga (10/29), Conestoga Mall in Waterloo (10/15), Mapleview Shopping Centre in Burlington (10/22) and Vaughan Mills Mall in Vaughan (11/5). This is very exciting and means that Canadians will no longer have to go south of the border to get cute activewear, loungewear, sleepwear, lingerie and accessories!

The Square One launch will be happening on October 29th, 2009 at 10am with a live DJ on location to mark this celebration. Make sure you get there fast because the store will be offering free "I love Canada" t-shirts with any purchase while supplies last! These t-shirts will also be available for purchase at $10.

Blue India Twiggy is Here!!

I finally got my Blue India Twiggy and let me tell you - she was totally worth waiting for! I got her from an eBayer who is also a member of TPF - Thanks Maryanne! There is absolutely NO wear on it at all and it is in perfect condition (minus a faint perfume smell which I'm sure can be aired out). She is even more beautiful than I could have imagined. This is probably my favorite color bag and perfect for the warmer weather! I can't wait to take it out and use it :) The leather is also totally smooshy and buttery soft. I was worried when I heard of some of the stories of 06 leather...how it was dry, veiny, crackly, but this one is perfect! The handles have no warming, the corners have no wear..I'm in love with this bag!

Two Latest Additions to My Balenciaga Family

So, I've been wanting a Black Balenciaga for the longest time (I know, I know, I say I want a lot of things!) I knew that I wanted a 2007 Black Bbag since I've heard that the 2008 leather wasn't as good, but wasn't sure which model and what hardware. I went back and forth between the Black Citywith Giant Silver Hardware to the Black City with Giant Gold Hardware, and then decided I might want a Work instead of City and so on and so on...It was a truly agonizing decision for me, especially since these bags don't come cheap! I did major research on the purse forum, looking at other members' black purses and at celebrities' black bbags and still couldn't make up my mind. Finally, on Wednesday, I became more and more sure that I wanted a City with Regular Hardware since it seemed more classic and less trendy. Another thing going for the regular hardware was the fact that there's going to be a price increase on the line this fall...so..I picked up the phone and dialed Kim at BalNY. She told me that she indeed had an 07 Black City! Score! But that she only had an 08 Black Money wallet (which somewhere along my decision making I decided I needed to get). So I ordered the City and decided to call the Neiman's in Atlanta since I recalled seeing 2 Black Money's there last week - one in regular hardware and one in Giant Silver Hardware that was to die for! Unfortunately, the Money there was also an 08..so I dialed Kim again after hanging up with the kinda rude SA at NM and ordered the Money as well. I opted for the free UPS ground shipping. To my surprise, Kim told me that the order should arrive by today (Friday), and if not, Saturday at the latest. I was anxious all day and gave up hope, when at 5:30ish the door knocked - UPS man!!! Yay!!
So...here they are...
